SITE NAME CHANGE: Hi there, this is just a quick note to explain why the site name seems to have changed. I've decided that my personal domain of Gecko8 wasn't nearly descriptive enough. I want to cover not just code, but how to make our lives better as developers. With that goal in mind, I feel Life And Code is a better choice. I hope you agree!

Have you ever wanted to open a specific file or folder in Visual Studio Code or iTerm right from your MacOS Finder? I've seen a couple of ways to do this. Here's how to add icons to your finder header so you can easily drag files or folders to them.

Visual Studio Code and iTerm in Finder header bar

Here's how:

  1. Open Finder to your Applications folder and find the Visual Studio Code or iTerm app.
  2. Hold down Command key (⌘).
  3. Drag the app to your Finder header.
  4. Release.

Really, that's it! I'm sure this works for other applications too.
